Procerin is an over-the-counter tablet that claims to combat hormone-induced baldness by getting to the “root” of the problem: hormone-regulation. Baldness occurs when testosterone gets converted to a byproduct in the scalp. Procerin claims to inhibit this conversion, thus preventing hair loss.
To test the effectiveness of this product, 50 men in their early 20s up to late 40s have signed up for the pilot study.
The participants were given a three-month supply of Procerin tablets and Procerin XT Topical Foam. Procerin is a nutritional supplement, and can therefore be taken alongside other natural supplements that encourage hair growth.
The results will be monitored over a three-month period, every month. Before-and-after photos were taken for comparative analysis at the end of the test period.
On the first month, only 22% (11) of the test subjects had reported a noticeable increase in hair growth. Noticeable increase means that there was a decrease in hair fall and increase of hair count in terms of new growth. The rest of the respondents have reported no significant growth at this point.
None so far had reported any inconvenient side effects.
At the end of the second month, 40% of men (20) had reported seeing new growth and decreasing bald spots. Comparative photos have indeed shown that this group of men had stopped receding hairlines and achieved new growths in visibly bald areas. Incidentally, this group of men were in the age range of 25 to 33; an age when active hair growth was previously documented.
After the third month, there was a huge increase in positive reviews: eighty two percent of men (41) reported an increase in hair growth and reduction of bald spots. Hair growth was noticeably thicker as can be seen in comparative photos. Over-all hair quality also improved, with men growing thicker strands and healthier follicles.
The rest of the respondents only reported gradual reduction of hair loss, without significant hair growth. This was noted among men who were in their 40s.
The men who enjoyed the most benefits were in the age range of early 20s and early 30s. No ill side-effects have been reported.

The panel of dermatologists consulted with the pilot study concluded the following:
- Procerin is ideal for men in their prime: early 20s and 30s when hair growth is maximum. Beyond that age range, Procerin can help stop baldness, but not encourage new growth. Previous studies have indicated that as men grow older, their hair-growing potential also gets smaller;
- Procerin is compatible with men who suffer from androgenetic alopecia, or hair loss due to increasing levels of testosterone getting converted to a byproduct known as dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the scalp. Procerin may be incompatible with pattern baldness due to heredity, scalp trauma, or chemotherapy;
- Procerin is ideal for older men in terms of stopping receding hairline. While it will not encourage new growth, it will help men in the older range retain existing hair.

Procerin Review
Michael Daly, Florida(Posted October 2010)
For years, I have been conscious of my receding hairline because women tend to look down at me and make me a laughing stock. Stress at work is a given, and I understand that it does show on the face. I began getting concerned when I started seeing white hair where they were not before. But I thought it was something easy to deal with: I can always opt for hair-coloring to hide it. But when I started losing hair, that’s when things got scary.
As you can imagine, I got my hands on all sorts of products that promised hair growth, and some of them do work some of the time. The problem is, when I stop using the products, my hair problem would come back. I am only in my late 30s, but I look like I’m in my late 40s with my pronounced bald spot. I was really bracing for hair transplants should my baldness reach an alarming rate. I was that desperate at the time. Thankfully, a female colleague mentioned that her husband had tried using Procerin with comfortable success. So I ordered Procerin online. But after using it for six weeks, I became doubtful: I was still not seeing any results. Sure I stopped losing some of the hair I normally would, but the bald spot was not getting any better. I asked around and was told that results usually show up after a couple or so months, and some even longer, and that I just need to be patient. Thankfully, I listened to that advice! The results started kicking in when I slowed down a bit, and changed to a healthier, lower-stress lifestyle. I’m into my fourth month of using Procerin, and not only did I stop baldness in its tracks, I happily found out I was growing new hair!
